Greetings Nordic Skiers,
The snow’s beginning to fall and we’re all excited to start skiing again!
North Shore Nordic Club has been busy clearing downed trees, removing boulders, brushing out and mowing both trail systems. Thanks to the volunteers who came out to help! Check out our Instagram page “NorthShoreNordic” to see pictures of fall trail work and please “follow” us.
Just a reminder, our agreement with USDA Forest Service and Montana DNRC require us to wait until December 1st to begin grooming at Bigfork Community Nordic Center and locking the upper Alpine gates at Blacktail Mountain Nordic Trails. Until then we’ll be moving our equipment into position in anticipation of some good early season snow to begin our operations.
The continuing Covid-19 Pandemic has forced us to forego our annual Kick & Glide Party at Tamarack Ale House. Year after year the Tamarack event provided our Club with vital operating funds, usually providing a quarter of our seasonal income. This year more than ever we need your generous financial support.
Please go to our website today and make your donation to help get our ski season off to a healthy financial start! Go to www.northshorenordic.org and click on the “Donation” tab. You can donate using PayPal or download the donation form and send a check. Thank YOU!
To save valuable resources for our grooming operations, the Club will no longer print and mail the annual newsletter. Instead we will post it on our website and send it out electronically to those who’ve signed up for our emails. Please don’t miss any news updates! It’s easy to sign up. Just go to our Website, scroll down to the green “Sign Up For Our Newsletter” box and enter your name and email address!
Throughout this Winter, NSNC will continue to provide the same great trail grooming you’ve come to expect at both Blacktail Mountain Nordic Trails and Bigfork Community Nordic Center. Please stay healthy and join us on the trails!
And thank you for your continued support, your NSNC board members.
