Greetings North Shore Nordic Supporters!

The leaves have started to drop, the nights are getting cold and we’re preparing for the upcoming ski season!

And as part of that preparation, we’re hosting a trail clearing “party” up at Blacktail Mountain Nordic Trails this Sunday, October 17th and you’re invited!

Every year our trail systems require pre-season maintenance before the snow begins accumulating.  Downed trees need to be cleared, rocks need to be picked and trail side brush needs to be trimmed back. We’ll split up into teams and focus on the problem areas.

Date:  Sunday, October 17

Time:  10:00am-2:00pm

Where:  Main Blacktail Nordic parking lot

What’s involved:  Trimming brush, picking rocks and removing downed trees, etc.

What to bring: Yourself, a friend, lunch, work clothes & gloves, mask (no, not a Halloween mask!), safety glasses, brush saws, loppers or basically anything that can cut a 1-2” branch.

We’ll have a chain saw or two and a couple Honda brush cutters.

If enough folks show up, we’ll make short work of the day. Hope to see you there!

Thank you for your continued support.

Best Regards, NSNC
