Currently 32 degrees and a bit of a mess with the weather! We groomed last night in the hope that the soft trails would have the entire night to firm up…WELL, it didn’t freeze but instead rained and we now have a nice layer of frozen rain/ice on top of a soft trail. My guess is it will be a rough day of skiing! (I will try and go check the trails out and confirm this) Skate skiing will be really fast until you break through and do a face plant!
I think the only option today is classic skiing in the track which will be very iced over and will need all your Klister wax that you have! Maybe a better day today to go to the gym and sit in the hot tub! Next planned day of grooming will be Wednesday if the weather cooperates…..
