Finally, after a short delay, winter has arrived!
Bigfork Community Nordic Center has been mowed, the equipment’s in place and we’re awaiting adequate snow to begin work. Blacktail Mountain Nordic Center has been rolled thrice this week and with continued snow in the forecast skiing should be good this weekend! Please check our website for trail conditions before heading out.
We’re excited about a new piece of equipment up at Blacktail! We’ve replaced our oldest snowmobile with a Yamaha quad with tracks. It’s enhanced maneuverability and lighter footprint will help us improve the quality of grooming across a wide range of conditions.
Once again Covid-19 has forced us to forego our annual Kick & Glide Party at Tamarack Ale House. Year after year the Tamarack event provided our Club with vital operating funds, usually providing a quarter of our seasonal income. The wonderful folks at Glacier Perks were so kind to assist NSNC in a raffle fundraiser in November. Thanks to all who bought tickets for the great prizes from Sportsman & Ski Haus, REI, Basecamp Bigfork and Happy Hounds Pet Supply. Through your efforts we raised over $1000!

To save valuable resources for our grooming operations, the Club will no longer print and mail the annual newsletter. Instead we will post it on our website and send it out electronically to those who’ve signed up for our emails. Please don’t miss any news updates! It’s easy to sign up. Throughout this Winter, NSNC will continue to provide the same great trail grooming you’ve come to expect at both Blacktail Mountain Nordic Trails and Bigfork Community Nordic Center. Please stay healthy and join us on the trails!
