Our 8th annual Kick and Glide Party will be held from 6:00-9:00PM, Saturday, November 11th at THE RACK SHACK on Somers Bay. The folks at Tamarack Brewery will provide an Italian dinner and their great beer. Tickets for the dinner, available at the door, are $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Tamarack will donate to NSNC for every dinner served. A full bar will be available. We’ll have a silent auction and raffle off great prizes from Rocky Mountain Outfitter, Sportsman Ski Haus and Glacier Cyclery & Nordic. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the event.

Bigfork Community Nordic Center: We have made a proposal to the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation to reconfigure the Wildcat trail (you know the trail, the one that no one skis because it’s too steep!), by adding several switchbacks and a kilometer or so into the adjacent clear cut. North Shore Nordic Club hopes to complete this project yet this fall. Check our website for updates. To improve trail grooming, NSNC has purchased a new Skidoo Scandic 900 snowmobile and will be ready to go December 1.
Blacktail Mountain Nordic Trails: The Forest Service has installed a new pit toilet in the parking lot next to the trailhead (no more porta-potties!). To help mitigate the drifting issues on Powerline, the NSNC board has approved the purchase of 600’ of snow fence. Installation will begin in the next few weeks.
North Shore Nordic Club is committed to continually improve our trail systems and provide the best cross country skiing in the Lower Valley.
